Karori House 2

Completed 2021

Alterations.

A light, open living space was created by removing a wall to unite this bungalow's kitchen, dining and family areas.

A central bench anchors the new kitchen, while a simple L-shaped bench top and storage unit lines the wall. Handmade tiles, durable stainless steel, laminated plywood and solid maple timber make for a warm, inviting space.

Bi-fold doors, rarely used, have been replaced with a generous window that frames the view and allows for a more flexible furniture arrangement. A new sliding window with a deep sill and handy storage underneath, provides a place to sit and play.
